Chris Sellers is a multidisciplinary artist working from Tampa, Fl, with disciplines ranging from 2-D, 3-D, and digital media. He focuses on existentialism, using the expression of the figure and elements related to the figure as subject matter to create provoking images. Chris’s style is a hybrid of the traditional practices of neoclassicism, blended in modernist figurative expressionism, and applied within the context of contemporary art. Many of his themes are associated with self-deception through indulgence, which derives from the idea of pain and suffering alongside love and desire.
"I intend for all of my work to be provocative in a unique form. The themes of my work derive from experiences that relate to indulgence, specifically the gritty subject matter of social vice. My purpose is to showcase the fortune and misfortune of human existence using these elements."
